SSD Optimisation - move Appdata\Local\Temp?
Hi all - just fitted a Kingston SSD and done a clean install of 7UP. In order to minimse read/writes on the drive I have moved the following to other Hdd's:
Windows temp
Browser caches and temps
App scratchdisks and temp files
Windows Pagefile (separate partition on other drive)
I would also like to move the Appdata\Local\Temp folder as this gets a lot of traffic and can grow to huge sizes. Anyone know if its possible without moving the rest of the Appdata directories?

you should also install all apps to a hdd and not the ssd.
wore out my first ssd in 9 months because of over use.

Hi,
According the issue, you may take following steps to change the location of Appdata\Local\Temp:
1.
Click Start button, right click Computer.
2.
Chose Properties, then click Advanced tag.
3.
Click Environment Variables button, double click TEMP line in the User Variable for username list.
4.
Set a new location for it.
Hope that helps
